Nowadays, it is easy to get a licence to start a business in UAE, said Amjadh Abdul Majeed, Senior Manager, ECH Digital. He was speaking about “Things to know while setting up a business in the Global Business Hub, Dubai” at the Digital Event held as a part of the inaugural function of Bathootha’s new branch office in Kottakkal. Dubai is a business hub and it is easy to do business in UAE. But before investing in the business, it is essential to understand the market, jurisdiction as well as the type of business. There are two core business jurisdictions in Dubai- Mainland business and Free zone business. If you apply for a licence to start a business in a free zone, you will be granted a 3-year visa, while on the mainland, you will get a 3-year partner visa and a 2-year work visa. For different types of businesses, there are distinct types of zones, which help business people to get better results for their investments.
